SERIES DESCRIPTION

Each & Every One of You (EEOOY) is a mock TV show pilot that teaches ordinary people how to make contemporary installation art. If these words strike fear into your heart or make you cringe with memories of seeing contemporary art and wondering what the it was all about, this show is for you!

Inspired by the fifties, celebrity art instructor Jon Gnagy who taught thousands of pioneer NBC TV viewers how to draw hokie landscapes. EEOOY host Andy Jenny show how fun and easy it can be to make contemporary art using his Four installation art Directives™.

EEOOY is a sincere but irreverent 1980’s-cable-TV-style show written and acted by ex-art critic Don Goodes. Unlike any other show on the subject, it embraces rather than tries to sidestep a central paradox: contemporary art is simultaneously profoundly significant and completely irrelevant. The show is funny and educational. Where ever EEOOY has been shown, in art galleries, museums and on cable TV in Canada, the US and Spain, it has become a cult-classic.

Two 30 minute pilots that were co-produced at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta Canada in the late nineties, as part of the Pop Sub n’Mass Culture Residency.

Is the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online a good school for web design?

Posted by admin on December 28th, 2009 and filed under art institute | 1 Comment »

I can’t go to a campus school for web design so I have to go with the online route. Is there a better online school or is the Art Institute adequate? Please don’t respond if you’re just going to tell me not to do web design or not to do online school. Just answer my question directly. Thanks!

Your fine with that. You really just need to get your hands on training for the software and follow tutorials.

I did fine with art institute of Miami Online and built up a web design company.

The big picture… After school jump into a career/slave at an agency for a few years. Steal as many clients as you can to start your own company. Don’t feel bad about it. Most ad agencies and companies in general start out this way.

What subjects are most important to art colleges?

Posted by admin on December 28th, 2009 and filed under art colleges | 1 Comment »

I know art is the most important, haha.

But other than that are there certain subjects that they look at more closely? I was thinking they may look at anatomy if you’re going to be doing a lot of art regarding the human figure, and maybe history since art colleges require you to take an art history class (right?). Is math important? Or foreign language?

Thank you!

Well for an art history major, a foriegn language is importantand required for graduate school, but I’m not sure about an art major. I’ve looked through my school catalog nd at the required courses for an art major and math isn’t one of the classes required for the degree except for the general education requirements. At my school art majors are requred to take at least 4 or 5 art history classes. There is also a specific class for drawing the human body and also an intermediate class for that as well. Leonardo and some famous artisits actually got permission to cut up catavers in order to know how the human body works and how it looks like from the inside, so an anatomy class wouldn’t hurt.

What influenced/led to the development of Installation Art?

What were the politics and technologies that influenced and led to the development of installation art?

thanks :)

What were? It is still rolling. It is not a thing of the past, It is still here.

Many "public art galleries" still welcome installations to this day. I have witnessed many. What influenced the politics and development of Installation Arts, it was fasion. Aka, fasion is what you create. Aritists are still displaying the fasions of the time. Unfortunatly, it changes fast. I share of being a single music hit.

All I can say is, Never start a battle until your sure you can get your fill, until your can not eat anymore. If your still hungary, than means you have made an over estimate. This is what a friend told me. It is like a buffay once you have the attention of the foods, eat as you can until your full.

What exactly is abstract and modern art ?

What exactly is abstract and modern art ? what is the difference between abstract and modern art?

Abstract would be not fitting a form. Like abrstract photography deals alot with closeups of odd testures and patterns.

Modern art is current day. I will show some examples below

first link is abstract almost modern with its form though

second is a perfect example of modern. I wish I had more to show you to get a true feel of modern. However I feel the images in image search doesn’t show many true* modern art paintings.
